Alamo and Virgin Holidays Confirm Car Rental Deal
Car rental company Alamo Rent A Car has confirmed its status as a preferred car rental supplier for Virgin Holidays this week, as the two companies continue their exclusive agreement in North America.
Virgin Holidays bring around 350,000 people annually on holidays to the Caribbean and the rest of the US.
The deal between Virgin Holidays and Alamo allows customers to rent a car through Virgin Check-In and retrieve their vehicle quickly from the depot using an e-voucher, reducing time wasted at the airport.
Alamo Rent A Car is one of three car rental brands owned by Enterprise Holdings. The umbrella company has an extensive fleet of over a million vehicles available for tourists on holiday to America to rent.
Enterprise Holdings’ executive vice president and chief strategy officer Greg Stubblefield said in a press statement from the company website: “As leaders in our respective industries, Alamo and Virgin Holidays can now work together to offer leisure travellers even more value, service and convenience than ever before.”
The agreement was initially set in place between the two companies at the start of the year with holidays to Boston, Las Vegas, Miami, New York and Washington DC targeted as areas where consumers would need rental services from Alamo. With Disney resorts in Orlando gathering momentum again this year, Alamo rentals in Florida are expected to be in high demand.
“As a customer champion celebrating 25 years of consistently delivering magic touches to our customers, we are delighted to be the only UK partner with Alamo,” said Virgin Holidays’ customer director Mark Anderson.
