BA Boosts Western USA Flights
Flag carrier British Airways said this week that it has enhanced its services which offer cheap flights to the USA's popular western destinations, such as California and Nevada.
As well as its launch of a new daily service from London Heathrow Airport offering cheap flights to San Diego, BA has also added capacity to its service operating cheap flights to Las Vegas. BA is also now the only airline in Europe that flies direct to the relaxing beachside Californian city of San Diego, which is becoming increasingly popular among UK travellers because of its 70 miles of seafront and its easy access to a host of family attractions such as the Disneyland theme park in nearby Anaheim.
The London-San Diego route utilises a Boeing 777 aircraft with three different cabins, making economy, business and first-class tickets available to passengers. The airline had previously only offered cheap flights to Los Angeles and San Francisco.
BA chief executive officer Keith Williams commented: "California is one of our most popular destinations so we're delighted to be able to offer a third destination and give customers more choice."
Mr Williams went on to say that as well as increasing the amount of California destinations on the BA schedule, its 18 per cent increase in the number of seats available on its cheap flights to Las Vegas were also in direct response to customer demand. The Las Vegas flights also depart from Heathrow Airport and use a Boeing 747 now, which means there are 434 seats available to UK holidaymakers keen to experience Sin City's casinos, glamour and unparalleled entertainment every week.
