Car hire company Hertz has announced that it will expand its self drive sector next year to include India.
After catching a cheap flight to India, customers will be able to pick up a car and drive themselves around the country on a number of recommended tours.
Self drive holidays offer customers the freedom to explore countries at their own pace and discover areas off the beaten track which don’t appear in the guide books.
Discover the World Marketing has assumed command of the operation on behalf of Hertz and will offer Fly-Drive holiday deals for customers coming to India. The company already has similar set-ups for self drive holidays in Australia, New Zealand, America and South Africa offering some of the most stunning terrain in the world for travellers to fully explore.
The Great Ocean Road in Australia and The Mother Road Route 66 are two of the most popular self drive holidays offered by the company. Customers can take a flight to Chicago and then hire a car to make the long drive to Los Angeles on America’s most famous highway. Alternatively, a flight to Melbourne will bring passengers to Victoria where they can travel along diggers’ road from Torquay to Warrnambool.
The opportunities for driving holidays in India are vast, with a huge array of sites to see via India’s road network. Car rental specialists can offer training programmes to holidaymakers unused to driving in the less regulated road conditions as well as defensive driving courses.
