Honeymooners Urged to Sample Belize Holidays
Condé Nast's Brides Magazine has declared Belize holidays to be the perfect choice for a perfect honeymoon.
After polling over 60,000 travel agents, the monthly magazine, read by more than 6.5 million prospective brides around the world, found that the Central American country was the fastest emerging destination for honeymoons. This was largely due to the strenuous efforts of the Belize Tourism Board (BTB), which has been promoting its Belize in Love campaign for nearly two years, marketing to young lovers and brides-to-be.
BTB director of tourism Seleni Matus commented: "Promoting our romantic getaways has been one of our top marketing priorities for the last two years, so we're pleased that our country has received such a distinguished recognition. This nomination is truly a testament to the success of our Belize in Love campaign and hard work and support from our private sector partners, who go above and beyond to ensure couples have the romantic escape that they've always dreamt of."
Described by BTB as "one of the last unspoiled places" on Earth, Belize holidays are a great way to experience the natural wonders of the Caribbean. Holidays to Belize can involve trips to see the world's second largest barrier reef – perfect for diving – excursions into its forests and jungles, or simply relaxing on its tropical beaches.
Cheap flights to Belize City are available from the UK, with a stopover in the US – the only country with direct flights to Belize. The two major carriers operating cheap flights to Belize are Continental and American Airlines. The best time of the year for cheap flights to Belize is between February and April.
