Monarch Expands Summer Services
Cheap flights carrier Monarch Airlines began operating an expanded summer service this week, with extra services for people seeking sunshine getaways with their Turkey holidays.
Cheap flights to Bodrum are now available from Manchester Airport, flying with Monarch on Mondays and Thursdays. From 23 May, the budget airline will also begin operating cheap flights to Turkey's premier Aegean coastal destination from London Gatwick and Birmingham airports, operating on Mondays and Thursdays from Gatwick and Mondays and Fridays from Birmingham.
Also on 23 May, Monarch will begin cheap flights to Greece's popular Ionian island of Corfu from London Luton Airport, operating three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Announcing the new summer services, Monarch Airlines managing director Kevin George said: "We've listened to the feedback we've received from our customers and we're expanding as a result. Turkey and Greece are increasingly becoming the sunshine destinations of choice for discerning travellers and we're extremely happy to be able to extend our excellent value and award-winning service to these destinations."
Mr George added that the latest routes from Monarch bring the total number that it operates from airports across the UK to 20. The carrier also offers holidaymakers across Britain cheap flights to Spain, the Canary Islands, Barcelona, Cyprus and other popular destinations.
His airline recently undertook a right royal publicity stunt, with Prince William and Kate Middleton lookalikes photographed boarding one of Monarch's cheap flights to Paphos in Cyprus on their "honeymoon".
The photo opportunity was designed to publicise the carrier's aircraft, currently emblazoned with the message "Congratulations Wills and Kate" to commemorate the Royal Wedding.
