Walt Disney World Seeks Parent for Panel
For thousands of British families, Florida holidays have been synonymous with a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, and there are a host of cheap flights to Orlando available from the UK to make a visit to the famous theme park possible.
Now Walt Disney World has revealed that it is looking for a British parent to join their holiday planning group. Their hope is to utilise that parent's perspective to improve the experience even more for future visitors.
Disney Destinations International executive marketing director Ginger Taggart said that the lucky mum or dad will join a 30-strong group made up of holidaymakers from around the world tasked with answering questions, offering advice and assisting families who are planning to take Florida holidays and visit Walt Disney World in the near future.
The online forum has been operating since 2008 and holidaymakers around the world considering a trip to the theme park resort now regard it as a highly useful resource.
The first representative from the UK was chosen last year – Lancashire mum Emma Nicholson – and Monday will see the hunt for the second begin, with a decision likely to be made by 17 September. Ms Taggart said that anyone applying for the position needed to be passionate about holiday planning, with the ability to respond to at least 25 inquiries a week and must have taken a Walt Disney World holiday in the past year.
"With more than 20 resort hotels, four theme parks, two water parks, shopping, dining, entertainment and more, planning a vacation to Walt Disney World Resort from the UK can leave some guests feeling a bit overwhelmed," she added.
"We are looking for a special UK mum or dad who loves planning a holiday to Walt Disney World to join the panel to share their experiences and advice with guests from the UK."
